A Voice Born in the Church, Honed on the Road. Born in New York and raised in the church, Michelle David began singing at just four years old and joined her first group, The Mission of Love, at five. Her powerhouse vocals took her around the globe, starring in acclaimed Broadway productions like Mama, The Sound of Motown, Glory of Gospel, and Mahalia, and recording with legends including Diana Ross and Michael Bolton — all before beginning her celebrated journey with The True-tones. Together, Michelle David & The True-tones have released seven critically acclaimed albums and lit up stages across Europe, from Pinkpop to North Sea Jazz and London Jazz Festival.
