Italian cinematic funk heroes Calibro 35 return with the Deluxe Edition of their acclaimed studio album Exploration. The expanded edition features three brand-new bonus tracks, available only in digital format.
The previously unreleased tracks include a soulful rendition of the jazz standard “Harlem Nocturne”, a vibrant afrobeat take on Grover Washington Jr.’s timeless jazz-funk classic “Mister Magic”, and a powerful reinterpretation of Can’s krautrock anthem “Vitamin C”—recently brought back into the spotlight through Kanye West’s sampling.
Praised by Rolling Stone as “the most fascinating, retro-maniac and genuine thing that has happened to Italy in the past few years,” Calibro 35 have earned an international reputation as one of the most exciting independent bands on the scene.
